More than 200 companies have signed up to take part in the Benguela International Fair from 16 to 20 May of this year as part of the festivities for the 395th anniversary of the founding of the city, said the director of events company Eventos Arena.
Speaking to Angolan news agency Angop, Manuel Novais said that the number of companies signed up was practically one third the number expected by the fair’s organisers and that there were companies that, “still want to sign up and we are trying to find places for them to exhibit their products.”
This second edition of FIB is expected to be visited by over 15,000 people, which is 1,500 more than visited the first edition of the fair at a time when aspects such as acclimatisation of the area and free Internet access have been improved in order to provide the best conditions for participants and visitors.
The fair, which will have four pavilions, is set up in an area of 12,000 square metres and is supported by the Benguela provincial government. (macauhub)
