Angola’s first international telecommunications and information technology fair entitled, “ICT Innovation, Sustaining Development,” is due to start Thursday in Luanda organized by the ministry responsible and the International Luanda Fair (FIL).
The event, which is called “Expo AngoTIC2012,” will bring together over 100 companies from Angola and abroad as well as individual inventors and students who, amongst other things, will present new software for IT systems.
The aim of the fair is to disseminate good public administration practices by presenting projects carried out by the government and to promote entrepreneurship in this sector, via school projects, according to the deputy minister for the sector, Aristides Safeca.
During the four days of the fair, companies, association, universities, governmental institutions and training centres can promote their technological products and services.
The Angola International Information and Communications Technology Salon will be held at the FIL facilities from 17 to 20 May. (macauhub)
