The African Development Bank (ADB) is financing the study for expansion of Praia International Airport on the Cape Verdean island of Santiago. Cape Verde’s Prime Minister, José Maria Neves said Friday.
On unveiling the plaque that names the airport after South African leader Nelson Mandela, the Prime Minister said that the planned work included expansion of the passenger terminal and the car park.
Neves said that the aim was to give the capital’s airport all the conditions needed to project Cape Verde on an international level and receive its passengers comfortably.
The Prime Minister declined to give dates or figures for the work to be carried out. (macauhub)
