Mozambican government sets up another Special Economic Zone

The Manga-Mungassa Special Economic Zone, in Sofala province, which has recently been set up by the Mozambican government, will be managed by the private sector the spokesman for the Council of Ministers and Fishing Minister Victor Borges said Tuesday in Maputo.

As well as having an international logistics centre with a view to maximising the potential of the Beira Corridor, the project includes hotel units and residential areas, and a duty-free industrial, which is intended to attract both national and foreign investors.

The Manga-Mungassa Special Economic Zone covers an area of 217 hectares. (macauhub)
