The 2nd edition of the Angolan International Environmental Technology Fair, which included 106 foreign and national exhibitors, closed Sunday with positive results according to its organisers.
António Matias, the national director for Environmental Technologies of the Environment Ministry told Angolan news agency Angop that the event had led to contacts between companies and investors as well as pointing the way to future activities in the field of environmental technology in Angola.
Matias praised the participation of exhibitors, especially foreign ones that were searching for partners in Angola and added that in Angola the use of renewable energy equipment and systems would help to improve environmental quality.
On Saturday, Clean Energy was named the winner of the 2nd Edition of the International Environmental Technology Fair, out of seven categories in the event.
This edition of the fair also chose the best environmental technology participants, best ecological project, best example of environmental management, environmental and water quality, all prizes that were awarded to Green Power, the Huambo provincial government, Angolan bank Banco de Desenvolvimento de Angola (BDA), and the government of Benguela municipality, respectively.
