Portuguese group Visabeira is set to invest over US$35 million in building three new hotels in Mozambique, the group’s financial director, Pedro Reis said cited by Mozambican daily newspaper O País.
The three new hotels will increase the number of hotels the group manages in Mozambique to a total of 11.
The new hotels will be built in the provinces of Tete, Sofala (Gorongosa) and Inhambane and will allow the group to increase its revenues from tourism, which is one of the strongest parts of its business in Mozambique, along with infrastructure, telecommunications, energy, and environment.
