Angola’s Geology and Mining and Industry Minister, Joaquim David, Monday in the Viana municipal area opened a factory to manufacture plastic products, owned by Glopol Angola.
The factory, which can produce 5,000 plastic pallets per month, 20,000 boxes of various sizes per month, waste collectors and bins, has products to sell in Angola for the next five years.
The factory’s director, Campos Oliveira, said that within two years the company plans to be the biggest producer and exported of packaging and transport products in sub-Saharan Africa, and in order for this to happen has bought a heavy injection machine that will double production capacity.
The minister said that the new factory will reduce imports of packaging and plastics used by Angola’s industrial sector.
Glopol Angola Industria Lda. produces and sells thermoplastic products and specialises in manufacturing products for transport including pellets, boxes, waste containers, amongst other products
Glopol Angola was founded in 2008 and production began in the second half of 2010. (macauhub)
