Angola’s new Law for the Merchant Navy, Ports and Connected Activities approved Tuesday by the country’s parliament amongst other things outlines granting concessions to Angolan companies.
According to the document, cited by Angolan news agency Angop, provision of public services within the port sector, including complementary or subsidiary activities, may be the subject of concessions.
These services include loading and unloading cargo on ships, moving, parking, and storing port cargo, and operating facilities for recreational and sports vessels.
The new Merchant Navy, Ports and Connected Activities Law was unanimously approved by 166 votes in favour. (macauhub)
