The new catering company for airlines in Angola, LSG Sky Chefs Taag Angola, which Friday was granted its commercial license, is due to start operating on 16 July, Angolan news agency Angop reported.
The new company is the result of a partnership between Germany’s LSG Sky Chefs, of the Lufthansa group, with a 40 percent stake, Angolan flagship airline Taag, with 35 percent, Angola Air Catering, with 20 percent, and airport manager Empresa Nacional de Aeroportos e Navegação Aérea (ENANA), with the remaining 5 percent.
LSG Sky Chefs Taag Angola will start operating with a staff of 204 people, three of which are high level administrative employees from the company’s world headquarters in Germany, and the remaining 201 are Angolan citizens.
“Of the 200 locations where the German company is represented or associated to local firms the partnership has always involved promotion of national staff for joint management and, in Angola, this will also be the case,” said the chairman of the company, Alfred Rigler. (macauhub)
