33 countries take part in the 2012 Luanda International Fair

11 July 2012

Thirty three countries have confirmed their presence at the 29th edition of the Luanda International Fair (Filda), taking place from 17 to 22 July, in the Angolan capital, the president of the fair, Matos Cardoso said Monday.

According to Angolan news agency Angop, Cardoso said that the number of participating countries was more than the 23 that took part last year, which showed the interest that investors have in finding out more about the opportunities that the Angolan market offers.

Cardoso said that this year’s edition of the country’s biggest business fair would, amongst other things, seek to ask exhibitors about increasing activities to promote Angolan investment opportunities outside the country.

The participating countries include the usual presence of Portugal and south Africa, which are guest countries at Filda this year.

Since 1983 the fair has brought together companies from Africa, the Americas, Europe and Asia to exhibit their products and services, as well as to establish partnerships. (macauhub)
