24 July 2012

The first edition of the Angola International Tourism Bourse (Bitur Angola) is due to take place in Luanda, from 11 to 14 October, organised by the Ministry for Hotels and Tourism and the International Luanda Fair (FIL), FIL said in a statement issued Monday in Luanda.

Noting that the fair was the result of the success of a tourism pavilion at the International Luanda Fair (Filda) 2011, FIL said that the event would have the theme of, “Promotion of Angola’s tourist heritage disseminates its tourism activities.”

The partnership between the Tourism sector and FIL is intended to publicise culture, history, cuisine, the natural world and landscape and make Angola and its riches better known, as well as offering an opportunity to reflect on the tourism sector and discuss the strategies needed for its development.

The event involves Angolan and foreign institutions and companies such as airlines, travel agencies, hotels, the Immigration and Foreign Service, the Customs Services, insurers and financial institutions, and this first edition of the event will have 200 exhibitors housed in two pavilions.
