Angolan and foreign businesspeople have signed contracts with the National Private Investment Agency (Anip) worth a total of US$313 million, one of which, with Movitel Telecomunicações, represents an investment of US$300 million, according to Angolan news agency Angop.
As well as Movitel Telecomunicações, Roman Consultoria, a company that manufactures wood-based products, has invested US$9 million to expand its business, specifically producing 1,000 wooden pallets and 60 windows and doors per day.
FloatNumbers Angola plans to invest US$2 million in the Cash & Carry business and Trivision Investment will invest US$1 million in drinks and confectionary distribution.
Trivision Investment bought shares in an Angolan food distribution company and will represent international brands in the market.
Lastly, Politérmica, a company specialising in heating and cooling systems, has plans to invest US$1 million, according to its chief executive Manuel Rodrigues. (macauhub)
