Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) are in contact to analyse joint oil exploration in their common border area, Angola’s Foreign Relations Minister, Georges Chicoti said Monday in Luanda.
Chicoti was speaking at the end of an audience granted to the DRC’s deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, Monzia Dismas.
Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo, which share a border, have for a few years been in disagreement about border markers in the plan for offshore oil exploration.
A few days ago, in Brazzaville, an agreement was signed between Angola and the Republic of Congo that split revenues from exploration of the Lianzi oil field, in block 14 on the border between the two countries, equally two ways. (macauhub)
