Portuguese company Ibersol introduces KFC fast food chain to Angola

Portuguese restaurant company Ibersol has invested US$5 million in building its first two units of the KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) fast food chain in Angola, the chairman of the company, António de Sousa said in Angola.

The first unit, in the Cassenda neighbourhood (in the Maianga urban district) was inaugurated last Tuesday and the second, at Belas Shopping (in the Belas municipal area) is due to be inaugurated in the next few days.

The chairman of Ibersol, António de Sousa, said at the inauguration ceremony that, “from this moment on the aim will be to consolidate the brand in the country’s capital so that, later, we can expand to other Angolan provinces.”

“First we will measure our acceptance, then we will look to expand to other areas of Luanda and other provinces,” noted Sousa cited by Angolan news agency Angop. (macauhub)
