Angola has 5,952 wholesale outlets according to the Census of Wholesale Establishments of Angola presented Friday in Luanda by the Trade Ministry, Angolan news agency Angop reported.
The census, which was carried out over a 14-month period, showed that the country had 5,952 wholesalers, which is 196 more than previously recorded.
According to the ministry coverage of the country is almost complete, although a residual number of establishments (3 percent) had yet to be visited, mainly due to difficulties in accessing them.
Other figures point to wholesale establishments employing 52,000 people across the country, with Luanda accounting for 32,000 of the total. (macauhub)
