A mission of business owners, for the fourth consecutive year, will attend the International Macau Fair, which will be held from 17 to 21 October, the Export Promotion Institute (Ipex) said in Maputo.
The mission to Macau is jointly organised by Ipex, the Confederation of Economic Association of Mozambique (CTA), and by the Centre for Investment Promotion (CPI).
The aim of taking part in the event is to establish partnership deals as well as seeking out business opportunities in the areas of trade, industry, technologies, investments, and others.
Business missions from both countries have carried out exploratory visits seeking business opportunities, both by direct investment and through partnerships.
One of the investments in Mozambique involving a significant amount of investment from Macau is Moza Banco.
Over the last 15 years China has become a strategic partner for Mozambique in several sectors, and is present in areas such as agriculture, agri-industry, aquaculture and fishing, industry, and infrastructure, but is particularly visible in the construction sector.
China is one of the top ten investors in Mozambique, and in the first half of the year was ranked fourth in that list. (macauhub)
