Angolan iron company Ferrangol has three mining projects underway

Angolan iron company Empresa Nacional de Ferro de Angola (Ferrangol) has three mining projects underway, the company’s chief executive Kayaya Kahala said Saturday in Luanda at the 4th Angola International Mining Fair (FIMA).

According to the CEO, who was speaking about Ferrangol and mining projects in Angola, on the third day of the fair, of the three projects the most notable are Cassinga, in Huíla province and Kassala Kitungo, in Kwanza Norte province.

Kahala said that the company was involved in new geological prospecting projects, with a view to finding gold, copper, coal and manganese as well as non-mining projects, specifically for steel making and energy.

As well as the host country, Angola, FIMA will involve companies from Portugal, Argentina, the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, Germany, and Namibia.

FIMA, which has approximately 70 exhibitors, is intended to promote Angola’s mining potential, encourage investment, launch new products and present technological solutions for the mining sector.

For four days FIMA saw 120 companies exhibiting their mining development, engineering, construction, energy and transmission, and drilling systems and equipment. (macauhub)
