The new revised and extended edition of the Portugal Wine Guide, an initiative pout together by Portuguese company WG – International Marketing, has for the first time been completely translated into simplified Chinese, according to Pedro Brito, director of WG.
The guide, which is available in English, Chinese, Russian, and German, is 226 pages long and is available in a variety of media, including printed and digital formats. The guide is also available in PDF format at the Portugal Wine Guide website: http://www.portugalwineguide.com
According to the guide’s promoters this new edition involves personalities from the Portuguese world of wine, as well as Chinese and Russian writers who write about Portuguese wines in their specific markets.
Brito said that the new edition would be presented in Singapore, Macau, Hong Kong, Moscow, Sao Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro.
He also noted that since 2009, when it was first published, the Portugal Wine Guide has become a platform for internationalisation of Portuguese wines, particularly because of editorial contributions from renowned wine connoisseurs such as João Paulo Martins, who analyses the characteristics and qualities of the wines and introduces each wine region and its history.
The director of WG also said that with the launch of this latest edition the Portugal Wine Guide had set up a partnership with Global Wine & Spirits (http://www.globalwinespirits.com), the leading world website for buying and selling wine and spirits.
“With this partnership, which will include synergies in the Chinese market, the Portugal Wine Guide is increasing its distribution worldwide, reaching over 70,000 professionals across the world, and bringing new opportunities to Portuguese winemakers,” Brito said. (macauhub)
