Air China takes part in tourism fair in Brazil for the first time

Participation of Air China in the 24th Gramado Tourism Festival (Festuri) represents Asian countries taking part in the event, which has seen an increase in international exhibitors every year, according to the Brazilian press.

Halline Soares Guimarães, from the commercial department of Air China in Brazil, said it was the first time the airline was taking part in a tourism fair in Brazil.

Air China, which ahs operated in Brazil since 2006, is one of the world’s largest air carriers, and offers to flights a week from Beijing to Sao Paulo with a stop off in Madrid, Spain.

Air China has a fleet of 282 aircraft, mainly made up of Boeing and Airbus planes, is part of the Star Alliance and is present in 32 countries, offers 243 routes, 69 of which are international and carries out 6,000 flights per week.

The Gramado Tourism Festival is exclusively for tourism sector professional. Last year it welcomed around 14,000 decision-making professionals and travel agents from South America.

The 24th Festuris will take place from 22 to 25 November at the Serra Park Fairs and Events Centre in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. (macauhub)
