Angolan companies more actively involved in 10th Projekta construction fair

29 October 2012

Angolan companies taking part in the 10th edition of the International Construction, Public works, Urbanism and Architecture Fair (Projekta 2012) have this year been more organised and dynamic, the chairman of the Arena group, which organises the fair, said in Luanda.

“We saw national exhibitors taking part in this edition of Projekta by Constrói Angola in a more active way,” said Bruno Albernaz, noting that 380 companies took part in the fair, both from Angola and abroad, which was 30 more than in 2011.

This edition involved companies from South Africa, Brazil, Italy, Portugal, and Turkey. Portugal, which had the largest number of companies, was represented by 55 companies, or 50 percent more than last year.

Cited by Angolan news agency Angop, Albernaz said he expected that the 2013 edition of the fair would involve even more foreign companies, as well as becoming a benchmark in Angola for the construction and public works sector.

The Fairs Director of Portuguese industrial association AIP, Jorge Oliveira, said Sunday in Luanda that Portuguese exhibitors were happy with their participation in the event.

According to Oliveira the areas of construction, renewable energy and industrial machinery were the most important for Portuguese companies, which were able to make contacts in order to establish partnerships with their Angolan counterparts.

The 10th edition of Projekta by Constrói Angola, held from 25 to 28 October, in Luanda, had a total of 380 exhibitors. (macauhub)
