Poultry project in Lucala, in Angola’s Kwanza Norte province starts selling chicken

The Avícola do Lucala poultry project, located 36 kilometres north of Ndalatando (capital of Angola’s Kwanza Norte province) has started selling chicken to the Angolan market.

The Lucala project currently has 77,850 chickens available for sale to the public.

The project’s facilities include 120 sheds each housing 5,000 birds and a hatchery able to incubate 2 million eggs per 45-day production cycle.

The project includes a feed factory with a production capacity of 5,000 tons per month and an abattoir capable of slaughtering 4,000 birds per hour.

The Avícola do Lucala project benefited from funding of US$49 million provided by the South Korea Exim Bank. (macauhub)
