US company AMECO buys Mozambique’s ServiTrade

AMECO, a subsidiary of the US group Fluor Corp., has bought ServiTrade, a Mozambican company that specialises in leasing construction equipment and other services, the group announced in a statement released in Irving, Texas.

The Monday statement indicates that ServiTrade’s activity mainly involves equipment rental and maintenance, transport and the supply of services for the infrastructure, mining, natural gas and energy production sectors.

ServiTrade was founded in 1998 and is one of the main companies in its activity area in East Africa, with offices at various locations in Mozambique. The headquarters is in Maputo.
