Cape Verde’s TACV airlines will resume flights to the Brazilian city of Fortaleza this coming 6 December and use newly received aircraft on the route, said Mário Almeida, the company’s representative for Portugal and Spain.
The Cape Verdean airline has been travelling to that destination “for more than 10 years,” said Almeida on Tuesday in Lisbon. The Portuguese publication Turisver indicated that the connection was suspended last January due to fleet renovation issues
“Now that the fleet has been renovated with two Boeing 737-800s and one Boeing 757-200 we are ready to resume the link to Fortaleza, which will happen on 6 December,” he added.
Flights to the capital of Ceará state will be weekly on Thursdays and follow the Lisbon-Praia-Fortaleza route. The flights back also leave on Thursdays, but only arrive in Lisbon on Friday. (macauhub)
