Cabinda province in Angola to have riverside tourist resort

7 January 2013

The development plan for Angola’s Cabinda province for the 2013/2017 period includes construction of a tourist resort on the banks of the Luali River, said the provincial secretary for Trade, Hotels and Tourism, Paulo Lufua.

Speaking to Angolan news agency Angop, Lufua said that the plan also included construction of three ships to support trade in the municipal areas of Cabinda, Cacongo and Belize in order to improve trade along the coast.

The province’s development plan, the secretary said, also includes installing the provincial hub of the National Consumer Defence Institute equipped with a laboratory and refurbishment of the facilities of the province’s Trade School.

The local master plan for tourism and construction of four municipal centres to receive, measure, and preserve agricultural produce are also included in the province’s development plan for the period. (macauhub)
