Seventh Portuguese Language Business Meeting held in Belo Horizonte, Brazil

The seventh edition of the Portuguese Language Business Meeting will be held in Belo Horizonte in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais on 22 and 23 April, the event’s organisers said.

The event, which is organised by the Federation of Portuguese Chambers of Commerce in Brazil – Minas Gerais, is part of the schedule for the Year of Portugal in Brazil and Brazil in Portugal and is sponsored by Portuguese power company EDP – Energias de Portugal, Portuguese banks Banco Espírito Santo de Investimento and Banco Caixa Geral Brasil.

Ahead of the Portuguese Language Business Meeting on 21 April there will be an event held by the Government of Minas Gerais, which will present an award to the representatives of the governments of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries.

As well as heads of State, the event will also be attended by leaders from a number of chambers of commerce in the Portuguese-speaking world, who will discuss the role of the chambers in encouraging trade and investment.

The issues under discussion will include natural resources and renewable energy, the real estate market, construction and logistics, tourism, agricultural businesses and technology.

The Seventh Portuguese Language Business Meeting has the support of the government of Minas Gerais, the Brazilian Service for Support to Micro and Small Enterprises (Sebrae), Portugal’s trade and investment agency AICEP, and the Portuguese Industrial Association (API). (macauhub)
