The gross revenue of Macau’s casinos in January and February was 53.948 billion patacas (US$6.743 billion), up 9.4 percent over the same two months in 2012, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau has announced.
The year-on-year variation rates rose in both January and February, by 7.3 percent and 2.1 percent respectively.
In February bettors left the amount of 27.084 billion patacas (US$3.385 billion) in the casinos, up 11.5 percent year-on-year and 220 million patacas over the gross revenue posted last January.
At end 2012 Macau counted 35 casinos pertaining to six concessionaires: Sociedade de Jogos de Macau (20), Galaxy Casino (6), Venetian Macau (4), Melco Crown Jogos – Macau (3), Wynn Resorts – Macau (1) and MGM Grand Paradise (1).
