A business delegation from Macau will take part in the “Meeting of Businesspeople for Economic and Trade cooperation between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries, Timor-Leste 2013” to be held in Dili from 1 to 3 July, officials said in Macau.
The business delegation is organised by IPIM (Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute), which plans to use the event to boost Macau’s role as a services platform for economic and trade cooperation between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries and boost trade relations with those countries.
This year’s meeting is organised by the Institute for Promotion of Foreign Trade and Exports of the Republic of Timor-Leste (East Timor) – TradeInvest, together with the China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and with IPIM.
The event is intended to boost cooperation between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries and regions, to explore new cooperation projects, as well as to boost economic and trade exchange between all the players.
Before the meeting IPIM, in partnership with the Guangdong province Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Services, plans to host two seminars, on 26 and 28b June, in Auckland (New Zealand) and in Melbourne (Australia), in order to present the economic and investment situation of Guangdong and Macau to businesspeople from those countries.
