Sao Tome and Principe is to receive a donation of US$8 million from the African Development Bank (ADB) to fund training courses for local staff involved in development projects, the resident ADB representative said Monday in Sao Tome.
Martin Septime told Portuguese news agency Lusa that the courses would provide technical training to coordinators of the projects linked to the agricultural, services, and training sectors, all as part of programmes for food safety and combating poverty.
“Training of the coordinators of the projects that the bank is funding is intended to improve execution of those projects to make a greater and more visible impact and get more significant results for beneficiaries,” noted the ADB representative. (macauhub)
