Angola and São Tomé and Principe agreed on Friday to set up a bilateral commission this year to assess the current status of cooperation and commitments.
A statement issued after a meeting between the visiting prime minister of São Tomé and Príncipe, Gabriel Arcanjo Ferreira da Costa, and Angolan head of state José Eduardo dos Santos, indicated that bilateral issues were addressed with a view to strengthening ongoing cooperation.
Costa’s two-day official visit to Angola was at the invitation of dos Santos and ended on Saturday. He was accompanied by an important delegation comprising the ministers for Foreign Affairs, Defence, Finance and Public Works, Infrastructure and Environment, as well as senior officials from his office.
