The announcement that Brazil’s Gol – Linhas Aéreas Intelligent plans to start offering three weekly flights between Recife, Brazil, and Lagos, Nigeria, in October is being closely followed by Portugal’s EuroAtlantic Airways (EAA), the company’s CEO said.
Tomaz Metello recalled that EuroAtlantic Airways (EAA), a shareholder of STP Airways of São Tomé and Príncipe, recently proposed to Nigeria’s MedView Airlines a link between Lagos and São Tomé (01:09 flight time), connecting to Europe via Lisbon, Portugal.
STP Airways operates weekly flights between São Tomé and Lisbon using an EAA Boeing B767-300ER aircraft with 14 seats in business class and 272 in economy class and capacity for 10 tons of cargo.
STP Airways was incorporated on 23 June 2008 with the following stakeholders: EuroAtlantic airways (37%), the state of São Tomé and Príncipe (35%), Banco Equador (14%) and Gulf International Air Service (14%). (macauhub)
