3 July 2013

The Macau Tourism Office (DST) is due to train 18 people from Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau and Mozambique from July to September of this year, the DST said in a statement Tuesday.

“The government departments linked to tourism in Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau and Mozambique will designate to representatives per month to travel to Macau to be placed as interns at DST, between July and September,” the statement said.

The first six interns started their training last Monday, 1 July, and the training is provided within the framework of cooperation agreements signed in 2010 between Macau, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau and Mozambique.

As well as covering the development policy for tourism development in Macau, amongst other things the training includes producing promotional materials as well as analysis of tourism promotion strategies. (macauhub)
