Angola’s foreign reserves totalled US$34.4 billion in May as compared to US$33 billion in April, said the National Bank of Angola in a statement posted on its website.
The central bank also said that from 24 to 28 June its sold foreign currency to the banking system totalling US$450 million and that the exchange rate for the kwanza against the US dollar at the end of the period stood at 96.566.
The Luibor (Luanda Interbank Offered Rate) overnight rate stood at 6.13 percent, having fallen slightly against the previous week and Luibor for 30, 90, 180, 270 and 360 days stood at 8.03 percent, 8.87 percent, 9.42 percent, 9.98 percent and 10.43 percent. (macauhub)
