A Mozambique/South Korea Business Forum focusing on mineral resources and energy is being held on Tuesday and marks the high point of the official visit to Mozambique by South Korea’s vice-minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy, an official Mozambican source stated.
The Mozambique Investment Promotion Centre indicated that 37 businessmen from the delegation accompanying Vice-Minister Choi Kyong-Lim would attend the forum, representing companies with interests in mining resources, energy, infrastructure development and industry.
The business forum is organised by the Investment Promotion Centre, the Ministry of Mining Resources and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (Kotra), in coordination with South Korea’s diplomatic representative in Mozambique.
In the scope of the visit by this government and business delegation to Mozambique, representatives of some Korean businesses will meet with Mozambican state companies and institutions, specifically the ministries of Public Works and Housing, Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos, Petróleos de Moçambique, Electricidade de Moçambique, Portos e Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique and Fundo da Energia.
