The 30th edition of the Luanda International Fair (Filda) 2013 ended Sunday with a record number of participating companies – over 1,000 – and served to promote and attract investments in Angola as well as the country’s macroeconomic situation.
Similarly to the last three years, the fair held from 16 to 21 July, ended with an exhibitor satisfaction rating of around 90 percent, according to figures provided by the event’s organiser, the Luanda International Fair (FIL) and cited by Angolan news agency Angop.
As well as the usual business contacts, establishing partnerships and exchanging ideas between exhibitors and visitors, the 30th edition of Filda was notable for the high take up rate of spaces that led to a 400 square metre tent being erected to add to the available space.
As well as oil, the exhibition also marked specific days for Portugal, Brazil, Germany, China, Turkey and mobile telephone operator Unitel.
The Port of Luanda company was considered one of the best exhibitors at the 30th edition of FILDA as it was given 15 awards at the event.
The port company was awarded the “Golden Lion” trophy in the categories of “Best Participation and Equipment,” “Best Participation by Public Entities and Companies,” and “Best Participation at Filda 2013”. (macauhub)
