Trade between China and Macau rises 37.9 pct in first half of 2013

Trade between China and Macau totalled U$1.79 billion in first six month of the year, which was a rise of 37.9 percent according to figures published in Beijing by the Trade Ministry.

In the first half of the year Chinese exports to Macau rose by 28 percent year on year to US$1.57 billion and imports by the special administrative region rose 202.7 percent to US$220 million.

According to China Knowledge (http://www.chinaknowledge.com/Newswires/Default.aspx), in June trade between China and Macau fell against the same year of 2012 to US$250 million.

Chinese exports to Macau in June fell 25.2 percent to US$230 million whilst imports rose 35.6 percent to US$20 million. (macauhub)
