Russian power companies RusHydro, Hidroproject and Inter Rao Ues are planning to invest in Angola, the Chairman of the Board of the VTB África bank, Igor Skvortsov said Wednesday in Luanda cited by Angolan news agency Angop.
Speaking to Angop on the sidelines of the “Russia-Angola Business Forum” Skvortsov noted that the Hidroproject Institute had designed the hydroelectric project for the Capanda dam which demonstrated its skills and links to Angola.
“We already have some contacts in Angola with the Energy and Water Ministry to carry out projects in this area,” said the Russian bank’s chairman.
Angop also said that Inter UralVagonZavod, a Russian company with an interest in the energy sector, had already carried out projects in China, India, Venezuela and Argentina. (macauhub)
