Over 50 Italian companies from sectors that are considered a priority for Mozambique’s development, such as infrastructure, agro-industry, transport and services, will take part in the 49th Maputo International Fair (FACIM) said the Italian embassy in Mozambique.
Italian companies will be housed in “Espaço Itália”, organised by the Italian Embassy and the Johannesburg ICE Agency (Italy’s agency to promote foreign trade and internationalisation of Italian companies) at the Chai Pavilion.
In a statement, first secretary Francesca Blasone said that an ICE Agency office would be opened in Maputo soon and that the Association of Italian Businesspeople in Mozambique had opened in July.
The 49th Maputo International Fair will be held from 26 August to 1 September 2013 at the new complex in Marracuene, around 30 kilometres from the Mozambican capital, Maputo, and over 2,000 Mozambican and foreign exhibitors have confirmed their presence at the fair. (macauhub)
