South Africa’s Drive Control Corporation opens office in Maputo, Mozambique

23 August 2013

South African distribution company Drive Control Corporation (DCC) has opened an office in Maputo, Mozambique, a decision that the company’s managing director, Neil Rex, described as “logical”.

Cited by the South African press, Rex said that the decision was a logical one because Mozambique, along with other countries in Southern Africa, had significantly higher rates of growth than South Africa.

The company’s office in Mozambique – Drive Control already has offices in Namibia and Botswana – opened on 1 July and at the beginning of August made its first equipment delivery.

Ricky Correia, the manager of the project to expand to Mozambique, said that “Mozambique is one of the 10 world economies with greatest growth rates,” and added that, “although it is a competitive market, there is ample space for growth.”

Drive Control Corporation is a private information technology product distribution company. It is based in Johannesburg and has branches in Durban, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town. (macauhub)
