Swiss group Meeco installs solar system in Angola

Swiss group Meeco plans to post turnover of US$5 million by the end of 2014 in Angola and annual growth of between 15 and 18 percent in the next three years, a group official said recently.

According to weekly newspaper Expansão, the manager for setting up the group’s projects, Michael Georg, made the statements on the sidelines of the closing ceremony for installation of a residential solar system at Sangano beach, 120 kilometres from Luanda, and the group’s first in Angola.

Georg said the group intended to be known in Angola “as a benchmark partner in supplying equipment and services for renewable energy as well as an independent energy supplier, owner and operator of its own electricity production units.”

The Meeco group ( consolidated its business in Zug, Switzerland in 2000 offering cutting-edge engineering services and management and investment solutions in renewable energies, communications, aviation and renewable resources. (macauhub)
