City of Lubango, in Angola has new four-star hotel

A four-star hotel unit has been inaugurated in the city of Lubango, the capital of the Angolan province of Huíla, by the country’s Hotels and Tourism Minister, Pedro Mutundi, Angolan news agency Angop reported.

The hotel, which is the second four-star unit in the region, is part of the Chick-Chick hotel chain of the Chicoil group. It has four floors, 117 rooms, two restaurants, a conference room for 80 people, a gym and a viewing deck.

The new unit, which took three years to build and cost US$30 million, has created 100 new jobs.

In Huíla province, 1,992 jobs have been created in the hotel sector since 2009, as a result of investments in hotels and other similar facilities.

The region has 105 hotels and 537 similar units, including hotels, tourist resorts, inns, restaurants and bars. (macauhub)
