Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica (Embraer) in the third quarter of this year delivered 19 jet aircraft to the commercial aviation market and 25 to the executive aviation segment, the company said.
Since the beginning of the year, Embraer has delivered 124 aircraft, 58 of which to the commercial aviation market and 66 to the executive aviation segment, according to Tuesday’s statement.
Embraer added that the main event during the third quarter was an agreement signed with the International Lease Financial Corporation, one of the world’s biggest commercial aviation leasing companies, for a firm order of 50 aeroplanes, 25 E190s and the same number of E195s.
The contract, which was announced at the Paris Air Show, has options for another 25 of each model, increasing the potential total order to 100 aircraft. (macauhub)
