Angolan state oil company, Sociedade Nacional de Combustíveis de Angola (Sonangol) plans to open its fourth sales office, this time in China, the company’s chief executive, Francisco Lemos said Monday.
“We have three sales offices in the United States (Houston), the United Kingdom (London) and in Singapore and we are going to open one in China, to sell crude oil and liquid natural gas,” said Lemos cited by financial news agency Reuters.
Noting that Angola had plans to reach total daily production of 2 million barrels and, as soon as it manages this, to maintain that level for 10 years, Lemos added that a date had yet to be set to open the office in China.
Last September, Sonangol said it would issue onshore oil exploration licenses in 10 new blocks in the Kwanza and Lower Congo river basins. (macauhub)
