Gross gaming revenue in Macau reached a total of 297.109 billion patacas (US$37.138 billion) from January through October, for year-on-year growth of 18.4%, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau announced.
The figures indicate that accumulated variance posted in October was the highest of the year and was due to the notable rise in monthly growth.
In October the variance was over 31.7%, well above the rates recorded since the year began, which have wavered between the minimum of 7.3% in January and 25.4% in March.
During the month under review bettors left 36.477 billion patacas (US$4.559 billion) at Macau’s casinos, an amount corresponding to the aforementioned growth of 31.7% year-on-year.
At the end of the first half-year Macau had 35 casinos pertaining to six concessionaires: Sociedade de Jogos de Macau (20), Galaxy Casino (6), Venetian Macau (4), Melco Crown Jogos – Macau (3), Wynn Resorts – Macau (1) and MGM Grand Paradise (1), which together counted 5,746 gaming tables and 15,310 slot machines.
