The 17th Cape Verde International Fair (FIC) opens this Wednesday in the city of Mindelo and closes on the 24th, with a total of 87 exhibitors mainly from Cape Verde and Portugal, the organisers indicated.
FIC chairman Luís Cardoso told Infopress news agency that the fair was Cape Verde’s most important business event, drawing together economic sectors such as general trade, industries, services and consulting, among others.
The theme topic of this year’s fair is “The Manufacturing Industry: a challenge to overcome” and is meant to alert national and foreign entrepreneurs and investors about the need to invest in a sector which offers numerous business opportunities, Cardoso said.
The organisers have prepared a number of parallel business and cultural activities for the exhibitors and national and international visitors, including lectures, seminars and round-tables.
The Cape Verde International Fair is a multi-sector event held annually in November, alternately in the cities of Mindelo and Praia.
The 16th fair, held in 2012 in Praia, counted a record number of 203 stands and 180 exhibitors of various origins. (macauhub)
