MC Arquitectos considered to be Mozambique’s best SME

Architectural practice MC Arquitectos, based in Quelimane, won the 2013 edition of the “100 Best Small and Medium-sized Enterprises” in Mozambique organised by Banco Comercial e de Investimentos (BCI), according to the Mozambican press.

At the session to announce the winners, MC Arquitectos received a cheque for 1 million meticals (US$33,190) and the chief executive BCI, Paulo Sousa, announced that the bank would double its credit line to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to 1 billion meticals.

Agro-Comercial, a company based in Mocuba, Zambézia province, was awarded the prize for “Best inclusive SME” and in the “SME Innovation” category the prize was awarded to Agro-Serviços, based in Maputo. (macauhub)
