City of Ondjiva, Angola to have new airport in 2014

Ondjiva, the capital of the Angolan province of Cunene, will have a new airport by the end of 2014, the secretary of state for construction, Ilídio Martins said in the city, according to Angolan news agency Angop.

Whilst the new airport has yet to open, Martins said, the current airport will operate 24-hours per day.

The secretary of State also announced conclusion of reconstruction work, which included laying asphalt on the Bailundo/Luvemba/Cassongue crossing road over a distance of 89 kilometres. (macauhub)
