Angola and Cuba plan to cooperate in the reconstruction, repair, renewal and maintenance of power plants and electricity networks, according to a presidential ruling published in Luanda which puts into practice the two-way agreement signed in the Angolan capital in 2009 for the energy and industrial sectors.
The agreement also includes staff training as well as both sides committing to use new power production technologies and implement renewable energy in their transmission and distribution networks.
The two countries also agreed to create industrial development hubs and industrial processing duty free areas focused on exports.
The agreement between Angola and Cuba also covers support for professional training of both Angolan and Cuban workers, by organising internships, courses and seminars in both countries. (macauhub)
