Chinese group Yewhing opens shopping centre in Angola costing US$30 million

Chinese group Yewhing Angola Comércio e Indústria has just opened a shopping centre in the Kikuxi are of the Viana municipality in Angola, specialised in the sale of household appliances, furniture, construction materials and accessories. The project cost around US$30 million to build.

Investment in the shopping centre called “O Mundo da Casa” (Home World) created 600 jobs.

The shopping centre s located on the Benfica/Cacuaco express way.

Chen Song, the chairman of the Chinese group, said that the shopping centre, which took six months to build on an area of six hectares, later this year, will have another area for banks, shops and restaurants.

The chairman of Yewhing also said that in the next five years the group will open similar shopping centres in Benguela, Huambo and Huíla. (macauhub)
