CNN chooses Sao Tome and Principe as one of the ten “dream destinations” for 2014
“The ideal location to perfect the art of calm,” says CNN’s travel channel.
Sao Tome and Principe is described as being practically unknown to tourists.
The islands that make up the African island nation are “a good candidate for the cliché of an exotic paradise island,” the article says also noting that this is also due to “few tourists.”
CNN also notes the attractions of “staying in colonial homes,” “bird watching in the dense jungle,” or dinking “excellent coffee.”
Noting that the country’s motto is “softly softly” the article contrasts the calm of this national state of mind with the liveliness of the capital’s night spots.
However, CNN warns: “Oil has been discovered of the coast of Sao Tome so it’s best to get there as soon as possible.” (macauhub)
