Australia’s Republic Gold finds gold in Mozambique

Australian mining company Republic Gold has found two intersected gold mineralisations following test drilling in the Mucurumadazi block, in Mozambique, the company said in a statement issued Thursday.

According to the company test drilling detected the presence of 3.77 grams of gold per ton at a depth of 77.2 metres and 1.04 grams per ton at 84.2 metres.

The presence of the gold mineralisation at one of the test drilling sites showed the potential presence of gold over a distance of 1,000 metres.

Republic Gold said that it was preparing a programme of drilling better to judge the amount of gold in the block. (macauhub)
